The saga of one of Santa Fe's best known hair salons took an odd twist Tuesday morning when Santa Fe County officials discovered the recently closed Blue Monkey had been vandalized and covered in obscene graffiti.
Some of the damage could cost thousands of dollars to clean up, even with the building that housed Blue Monkey slated for demolition to make way for a new courthouse, county officials said.

Virgin Galactic today unveiled designs for the two-part launch system, which will eventually carry tourists to suborbital space from Spaceport America in southern New Mexico.
SpaceShipTwo and its mother ship, White Knight Two are modeled after a similar, smaller launch system that won the 2004 Ansari X Prize for demonstrating a privately funded, repeatable launch into space.
Powered by four Pratt and Whitney jet engines, the all-composite White Knight Two will carry SpaceShipTwo to about 50,000 feet. SpaceShipTwo will then separate, and its rockets will carry about half a dozen passengers...
