A Challenge to Civil Rights: Japanese American Internment During World War II

More than 110,000 men, women and children of Japanese ancestry were forced into relocation centers and deprived of their homes, their livelihood, and their personal possessions subsequent to Executive Order 9066 issued on February 19, 1942. The Los Alamos Historical Museum highlights the dramatic story of Japanese Americans' internment during World War II.
