Moving People Dance Santa Fe (MPD) is Santa Fe’s own cutting-edge dance company and school, creators of inspirational choreography and soul-stirring performances. Moving People Dance is respected for its excellence in training, and passion in performance. MPD alumni impact the dance world, boldly representing Santa Fe at universities, dance companies, and conservatories.
MPD presents the Santa Fe Dance Festival each June with local and national dance companies, to showcase the finest in Santa Fe and the world of dance. This June, performances will be at the Lensic Performing Arts Center, June 6, 7, 13, and 14, featuring Bill T. Jones / Arnie Zane Dance Company, Moving People Dance Santa Fe, Sol y Arena Spanish Dance Ensemble, and Special Guests from Ballet Austin. Other performances and events will be held throughout June.
MPD offers a comprehensive array of classes for ages 8 through adult, beginner to advanced level, in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop, salsa, swing, and flamenco.
Classes for students on a semester basis, Sept – Dec., Jan. – May, and July. Adult classes are ongoing.
