Enjoy an afternoon of New Mexico's traditional folk music and song provided by charismatic Cipriano Vigil from Chamisal in the Sangre de Cristos where he learned his craft from past musicians. He takes us back to the instiitutions of Spanish village rituals and the traditional music that bound families and neighbors into community. His new songs address poignant issues of today. Cipriano Vigil holds a Ph.D. in musicology and has represented New Mexico at the Smithsonain in Wahington, D.C.
