Tradition Meets Tomorrow
How The West Is One
It won’t be business as usual this year at the 15th annual Buckaroo Ball on June 20-22, 2008. Slated for this year’s fun-filled weekend are the traditional activities for which the event has become famous, plus several new sensational events including an equestrian exhibition by Grand Prix de Santa Fe and a fabulous dinner prepared by Santa Fe’s finest restaurants. In addition, the live and silent auctions this year promise to be the most extraordinary yet! And headline entertainment by Grammy ® Award-winning superstar Travis Tritt will keep patrons dancing into the night. Also, for the first time, the Thursday preceding the weekend will feature the new Buckaroo Shootout Golf Tournament at Towa Golf Course at Buffalo Thunder Resort.
This year’s theme, “How the West is One”, expresses the united commitment of the Buckaroo Ball to make a difference in the lives of at-risk children in Santa Fe County. “We celebrate 15 years of giving, while looking forward to a hopeful future for each child who will benefit from the participation of our sponsors, guests and partners,” says Barbara Damron, Co-Chair of the event. “Since we’re one of the largest fundraising events for at-risk youth in New Mexico, we look forward to making a real difference in the lives of children by raising more money with exciting new events this year,” adds Co-Chair Elizabeth Rohrbach.
The 15th Annual Buckaroo Ball Weekend of Celebration includes:
