Ingredients

Meatballs

• 1 lb. ground meat
• 1 egg
• 1/2 can Italian seasoned bread crumbs
• 1 small onion, grated
• 1 large garlic minced
• 1 lb. seasoned Italian sausage (optional)
• Salt & pepper
• 1/2 cup chopped parsley
• 1-2 tablespoon grated cheese
• 1 tsp. oregano
• 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
• 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. anise (optional)

Sauce

• 1 clove garlic minced
• 3 Tbs. grated cheese
• 1 Tbs. olive oil
• Chopped parsley
• 1 tsp. oregano
• 1/2 tsp. anise
• 1 Tbs. sugar
• 1 large can tomatoes, crushed
• 1 large can tomato puree (Progresso)

Directions

Meatballs

1. Mix all ingredients and shape into small meat balls.
2. Fry in a little olive oil until browned then drop into the sauce.

Sauce

1. Sautee garlic in olive oil
2. Add tomatoes and tomato puree, then add the other seasonings and meat balls.
3. Cook slowly for at least 3-4 hours until grease comes to top. Skim off grease from time to time. If you want lots of sauce then add more tomatoes and puree.

Notes

• Experiment! If you like it spicy add more spice or less, etc.
