A self described “Florida Girl” Melanie Moore has lived in and out of Santa Fe for over 13 years. After graduating in 1994 from the University of Florida with a B.A. in English Literature and Film Studies, Melanie moved to Santa Fe to work in the antique Indian Art market at the Morning Star Gallery while also launching her career as a DJ. In 1998, she boarded a jet for New York City and spent the next seven years balancing careers in both technology and music. A systems engineering consultant by day- and DJ by night, she performed at 25 different NYC nightclubs while discovering a new scale of event design and production.
During her New York years Melanie returned two dozen times to perform in New Mexico, simply because she could not stay away. Since 2004 she has found herself back in the City Different full-time and loving it. In 2006, she formed Melanie Moore Media LLC, a media and events company that works with a broad range of clients on communications, design, and event production. A multiple winner of the Santa Fe Reporter’s Best Local DJ, you will find her behind some electrifying events in northern New Mexico.
