Baker has written for publications around the world including New Yorker, Vanity Fair, the New York Times, The Globe and Mail, The Sunday Times, The Guardian and Der Spiegel. A diligent and consummate writer, Baker has produced hundreds of stories for print, television, and radio and pursued stories across the globe covering history-changing events such as the Hutu-Tutsi massacres in Central Africa, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the overthrow of Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu.
