The creative and glamourous Betsy Ronel is one of those special Santa Fe women. She is living her dream. Reasonably priced from $68.00 to $148.00 these fashion forward looks are the first part of Betsy Ronel’s vision, Mantra Lifestyle Bazaar.
Ronel and her business partner Shibana Singh share a passion for yoga and the culture and fashion of India. The two came together over their mutual practice of yoga. Admiring her friends shirt, Ronel asked “have you ever wanted to go into the clothing business?” Shibana answered “yes!” and Mantra Lifestyle Bazaar was born.
“...we are philanthropically based..” says Ronel. “...15% of all of our sales will always and forever be dedicated to the Esperanza Shelter for Women and Families..” These two single moms are thinking about community, and they are thinking and dreaming big. “...our vision includes children’s wear, men’s wear, yoga mats and accessories, home goods and so much more. One of my goals is a resort promoting the restful relaxation of the yoga lifestyle, Mantra is a part of that. “Mantra Lifestyle Bazaar” is the umbrella for all these ventures. For me, the sky is the limit”.
The name Mantra means a sacred sound, words believed to have psychological and spiritual power. The Mantra Lifestyle Bazaar’s mission is to inspire women to be grateful in the moment. Betsy Ronel is a strong, resilient woman who has overcome extreme challenges. An inspiration to her children and to everyone who knows her. “Women now have options our mother’s and grandmother’s never had. We can do it all. Raise our children, maintain a household and run a business” , she says. Santa Fe will always be a flashpoint for cultural change and Ronel proves she is a force in our community.
