Looking for a way to enjoy an exciting evening while helping a great cause? Join Youth Shelters & Family Services on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a reception hosted by La Posada de Santa Fe. The Lightning Boy Foundation Hoop Dancers will provide an energetic and unforgettable performance during the reception. 

You’ll have everything you need for an enjoyable evening, with complimentary valet parking and a cash bar. Browse the silent auction featuring jewelry, savory restaurant packages, distinctive art, and more.

A fabulous, three-course dinner prepared by the award-winning culinary staff at La Posada de Santa Fe begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a high-spirited live auction where you can bid on several travel and escape packages. 

The featured guest speakers will detail the inspirational work of the Youth Shelters & Family Services in the Santa Fe community.

Meal Options

Your meal will begin with a vegetarian tortilla soup, followed by your choice of a beef, fish, or vegetarian entree. Select your entree when you register. Your meal choices for the evening are:

Beef: Achiote Rubbed Beef Tenderloin, Cilantro Rice, Black Bean & Corn Medley

Fish: Chile & Cilantro Crusted Salmon, Wild Rice, Market Vegetables

Vegetarian: Mushroom Ravioli, Roasted Tomatoes, Sweet Pea Cream Sauce

 

Youth Shelters & Family Services Programs

The staff members at Youth Shelters & Family Services have a passion for the organization’s mission which is to “Deliver life-changing shelter and support for homeless, runaway and in-crisis youth.” Their programs include a 24-hour emergency shelter for youth aged 10–17 who are in crisis. 

Other programs include a street outreach program, transitional living, a rehousing program, a community counseling center, a pregnant and parenting youth initiative, and a food pantry. Learn more about their programs on the program page of their website.

 

Other Ways to Help Youth Shelters & Family Services

Check out their website’s Give/Get Involved page for other ways to donate. Many times, these youth are homeless with very few resources or possessions. You can donate money through their website or drop off new or gently used items between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at either their Southside location at 5686-B Agua Fria St. or their Midtown location at 1570 Pacheco Street Unit B6 in the Plaza de Comercio office park. Youth Shelters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
