Sponsored by Que Sera AlpacasGhilie Dhu Ranch, Casa Alpaca and Hutton Broadcasting, this Small Business Saturday gathering brings together local fiber artisans, live demonstrations, and fun alpaca-themed activities for a true celebration of community and local craftsmanship. Join us on November 30th from 10 AM to 4 PM at two locations: Que Sera Alpacas and Casa Alpaca, each offering unique experiences that make this a perfect day trip for families and friends.

Que Sera Alpacas

At Que Sera Alpacas (54 Jacinto Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87508), visitors can look forward to a lively market featuring handmade goods crafted from alpaca fiber and other local materials. This is your chance to browse and support local artisans, each with a skill set that brings unique products to life. In addition to shopping, families can enjoy live demonstrations that showcase the art of spinning and dyeing, a process that transforms raw alpaca fiber into beautiful, colorful yarns and textiles. These demos offer a glimpse into the hard work and skill that go into fiber arts, making it a learning experience for kids and adults alike. Que Sera will also be hosting a raffle, giving you the chance to win some amazing handcrafted alpaca items.

Que Sera Alpacas will also feature live music from local singer Tim Styles, along with food trucks that offer tasty treats to keep you energized throughout the day. One of the main attractions at Que Sera is, of course, the alpacas themselves! Guests can take part in alpaca walks, where you’ll get up close to these gentle animals. It’s an unforgettable way for kids to connect with the alpacas while learning about how these animals contribute to sustainable farming.

Ghilie Dhu Ranch

The Alpaca Harvest Celebration wouldn’t be complete without Ghilie Dhu Ranch! As a new alpaca ranch, Ghilie Dhu is home to a charming herd of 14 alpacas, made up of 11 adults and 3 adorable babies currently boarded at Que Sera Alpacas. Visitors will have the chance to get hands-on with alpaca walks, where you can stroll alongside these friendly animals, learning about their care and personalities. The ranch will be offering insights into alpaca farming and the use of their fiber, making it a unique, interactive experience for all ages.

Casa Alpaca

Over at Casa Alpaca (18 Rancho Cholla Ln, Santa Fe, NM 87508), more festivities await! This location is adding its own unique twist to the celebration with additional activities. Casa Alpaca will have a host of local artisans, offering even more ways to shop local and support small businesses. Whether you’re new to alpaca farms or a longtime fan of these friendly animals, Casa Alpaca’s festivities provide an equally engaging way to experience the Alpaca Harvest Celebration in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.

This dual-location event not only celebrates Small Business Saturday but also highlights the dedication of local fiber artists, the importance of sustainable agriculture, and the joy of connecting with animals and nature. Whether you’re looking to support local businesses, learn more about alpacas, or simply enjoy a family day out, the Alpaca Harvest Celebration offers something for everyone.

Make plans to visit both Que Sera Alpacas and Casa Alpaca on November 30th for a full day of fun, discovery, and community. By shopping locally, you’re supporting artisans and farmers who put their hearts into their work, ensuring that small businesses can thrive in the community. Come join us and create new memories with family and friends in this celebration of the alpaca harvest season!
