From an Ironweed Productions press release...

Ironweed Productions, in a co-production with the Santa Fe Playhouse, returns to the volatile, high-octane, and wickedly funny landscapes of Sam Shepard and presents his Pulitzer Prize- winning play" Buried Child", running March 28t through April 14, 2013 at the Santa Fe Playhouse.

The production will be directed by Mona Malec, who directed last season’s acclaimed benefit production of "The Guys" by Anne Nelson, a project commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11. "Buried Child" features Larry Glaister, Kat Sawyer, Scott Harrison, Matt Sanford, Kate Kita, Quinn Mander, and Elias Gallegos. It also features the production design of Chadney Everett, Skip Rapoport, Emilee McVey and Dan Piburn.

In this riveting drama, Shepard busts down the door of a once well-established family home in the heart of America to expose what lies behind the peeling paint and faded curtains. Dodge, his wife Halie, and their two sons: Tilden, recently kicked out of New Mexico, and Bradley, survivor of a crippling accident, live isolated lives, clinging desperately to their own versions of a fractured past. But the return of Vince, the grandson no one seems to recognize, and his girlfriend Shelly, who hopes for a glimpse of the Norman Rockwell life she never had, sets the family on a wild carnival ride full of betrayal, denial and searing accusations. By turns poignant, unsettling and hysterical, "Buried Child" promises an unforgettable journey into a haunted world that will keep audiences talking long after the lights go down.

Ironweed Productions continues to support young and emerging artists with this production. For the second year, Ironweed will collaborate with the New Mexico School for the Arts (NMSA): this year, fiveNSMA students will serve as theater apprentices and be mentored by the production team in theater producing, directing, set design, lighting design and dramaturgy.
