The New Mexico Film Office Announces ‘2 Guns’ to Film in New Mexico

"Production will begin in late August and continue until early September"

New Mexico Film Office director Nick Maniatis announced today that Universal Pictures, in collaboration with Marc Platt Productions and Emmett-Furla Films, will shoot approximately three weeks of the feature film titled “2 Guns” in New Mexico. Production will begin in late August and continue until early September, in and around Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

The production will employ at least 100 New Mexico crewmembers, 10 New Mexico principal actors and more than 400 background talent.

Marc Platt (“Wanted”) produces the film with Randall Emmett (“Rambo”), George Furla (“Rambo”), Adam Siegel (“Drive”), Jeffrey Stott, Ross Richie, Andrew Cosby and Norton Herrick.  Baltasar Kormákur (“Contraband”) directs.
“2 Guns” stars Academy Award® winner Denzel Washington (“Safe House”), Mark Wahlberg (“Contraband”), Paula Patton (“Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”), Bill Paxton (television’s “Hatfields & McCoys”), James Marsden (“X-Men” series), Fred Ward (“Sweet Home Alabama”) and Edward James Olmos (television’s “Battlestar Galactica”), and is based on the Boom! Studios graphic novels by Steven Grant.
