Ways To Get Ready For The 2012/2013 Season

Halloween is over, but that doesn’t mean the tricking, or the treating, are quite done yet.  Now that the only holiday on the horizon is the opening date for your favorite ski area (ok, and maybe Thanksgiving), it’s time to start thinking snow.  Welcome, to the first installment of the Snowman’s 2013 series. For all your winter sports treats, from gear reviews to current news, and what you’ll need to improve those tricks.

2013 is already shaping up to be a great season, with optimistic winter forecasts, early openings of a few nearby mountains, and some great new gear and terrain up for grabs.  It would seem many feel the same way, as the preseason sales, swaps, promotions, and early passes are already popping up.

Here are some great local events to help get you ready for the season:

Santa Fe Ski Team Ski and Snowsports Swap
“Superheroes of Stoke” Ski and Snowboard Movie Premier
Warren Miller’s “Flow State” Movie Screening
Project Vertical – Win Passes and Gear!
REI Winter Sports Sale
