"I recommend the Classic #1, which is a traditional pizza margherita..."
I had never had a gluten-free pizza outside of my own kitchen, and I was extremely impressed with the ones I tried from Rooftop Pizzeria. The crust was like a thick, well-seasoned flatbread. The prices for the pizzas are quite reasonable, and they can make any of their selections wheat-free. I recommend the Classic #1, which is a traditional pizza margherita with huge slices of fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil.

Why I love this spot: If you are constricted with a gluten-free diet and crave Italian food like I do, it is easy to understand why I love this place. The crust was thin and crispy, which seems to be the case with all of the gluten-free pizzas I have made at home. The ingredients were extremely fresh and flavorful. We took the pizzas to go, which saved us money on drinks and tipping. However, the restaurant itself has a very modern ambiance and a lengthy beer and wine list. It is located right off the Plaza, so it's a great place to go when you're downtown.
