...everyone gathered to hear her stories of traveling to America...

During the Santa Fe Folk Art Market 2009, we met a sisal basket weaving artist named Nurse.  She had a toothache and we helped her get it taken care of with the aid of Dr. Ray Martin.  We also gave her a box of toothbrushes to take back home to Swaziland where she helped out with an orphanage.  She said that most of the children there had never seen a toothbrush before.  She was the center of attention when she returned to the small village where everyone gathered to hear her stories of traveling to America while she distributed the toothbrushes to the excited children.  We were so excited to hear about Nurse’s reception and happy that we were able to be a part of her experience of bringing joy to the people in her village.
