This is a drink Chris Milligan made for The City of Santa Fe's 400th anniversary in 2010.


4-5 basil leaves
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz Elderflower liqueur
1 dash orange bitters
2 dashes Peychaud bitters

Muddle basil, simple syrup and lemon juice.  Add all other ingredients and shake with ice.  Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass.  Garnish with basil flower.
