Meet Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery
Established in 2018, Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery creates a wide range of beers, spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and canned cocktails, all made from scratch. Using organic, garden-grown, and wild-harvested ingredients, their products highlight fresh, natural flavors. Tumbleroot’s beers have earned national recognition, including medals from the Great American Beer Festival and the National Honey Board Honey Beer Competition. In 2020, readers of Edible Magazine voted Tumbleroot the best producer of distilled spirits in New Mexico.
At their production space, guests can explore a tasting room and bottle shop, sample products, and enjoy draft beer and craft cocktails. Brewery and distillery tours are offered every Wednesday and Thursday for a behind-the-scenes experience.
The Agua Fria Street taproom serves as a community hub, featuring an expansive courtyard, indoor bar, and a venue equipped with a stage and dance floor. The taproom’s bar program features house-made syrups, bitters, shrubs, and cordials, available in both cocktails and alcohol-free beverages. Guests can also enjoy seasonal pub-style food. Locally, the taproom has been recognized for being a great date spot and a family-friendly restaurant.
Tumbleroot was co-founded by husband-and-wife team Jason and Angela Kirkman. Jason’s background in breweries and distilleries, combined with Angela’s gardening skills, brings fresh, homegrown ingredients to their products. Angela also creates the ceramic serviceware used at the Tumbleroot Pottery Pub.
