Then March is so jam packed it’s hard to highlight just a few shows, but here we go. It starts off with two different groups of guitar masters from completely different parts of the planet expressing their cultures – African Guitar Summit and Masters of Hawaiian Music each will perform shows in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. We’re also really excited to have several shows as part of the 2017 Revolutions International Theatre (and Music!) Festival, put on by our friends at Tricklock Company, like DakhaBrakha (pounding drums & cellos, Ukrainian ethno-chaos, big wool hats), Galician and Celtic bag-pipe virtuoso Carlos Núñez, and the infamous (and never more relevant) Russian feminist punk rock protest group Pussy Riot. They’ll be here with a show that’s more than a concert – more like a performance piece plus conversation. Interest is so great that show is already sold out.  We are investigating adding a second date.
March also includes the unbelievably musical husband/wife banjo team of Béla Fleck & Abigail Washburn, and the excellent rock band Dawes, following up on their fantastic opening set for Alabama Shakes last August in Taos, multiple Grammy winner Terrance Simien & The Zydeco Experience and indie rock darlings Portugal. The Man.
You can see all the info on these shows and more below.
Here is a DropBox link that contains all the hi-res photos we have of the groups. You can check them out and download them at will. Let us know if you have any trouble with this.
