Know Your Rights an Evening with New Mexico ACLU

Talk and Discussion 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 20 at Higher Education Center, 1950 Siringo Road

What:   Presentation by Peter Simonson, director of New Mexico ACLU, regarding rights. The focus will be on immigration, LGBTQ rights, the Muslim community, rights to protest as well as the constitutionality of some of the U.S. president’s policies. After the presentation, there will be a question and answer session.                  

Who:  Open to the public. Spanish and sign-language interpreters will be available.                         

When:  6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 20.                   

Where: Higher Education Center, 1950 Siringo Road.                       

Cost: Free to the public. Light snacks will be provided.                                   

Of Note: Mayor Javier Gonzales and SFCC President Randy Grissom will participate.
