The Bridge at Santa Fe Brewing
37 Fire Place, Santa Fe NM 87508
Pigment, Santa Fe's band focused on really cool organization improvisation, is excited to open for the Kyle Hollingsworth Band at the Bridge! The venue is beautiful, and the music will be great all night.
Doors open at 6:00; Pigment comes on at 7:00.
Pigment samples from so many different styles it is hard to choose just one. However, because improvisation is the cornerstone of their music, they are best described as “jamrock”. Ryan Welsh, lead guitar and vox, has full command over his electronics to create a guitar sound that is “out of this world.” His spidery licks, sonic sounds and power driven riffs form psychedelic layers like the threads of a well woven tapestry. A tapestry which Chris Hall, lead and rhythm guitar, navigates his threads with sounds of B3, saxophone and vibes when he’s not channeling some of the greatest rhythm and blues guitarists in a display of what can only be called “tearing it up”. On to the rhythm section that gives this castle the foundation it sits on. Ian Feathers, on bass, and Lael Eccard on drums/percussion/vox give the listener the feeling that this band is for real. Their hip shaking, foot stompin’, fist pumping grooves are sure to leave the crowd exhausted at the end of an evening. Together this bands original works are aggressive, soothing, thought provoking, sensitive, exhilarating and can take the masses into another dimension…one of sheer bliss! Pigment also comes prepared, to each show, with an arsenal of cover tunes that is fitting to its audience. Their acoustic sets are beautiful as well.
