THE PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW presented by AIPAD
March 30 - April 2, 2017
711 12th Avenue at 55th Street, New York, NY
Danny Lyon, Llanito, 1971
We are presenting an exhibition of works that celebrate the child.
As Eugene Ionesco so beautifully states,
Childhood is the world of miracle or of magic: it is as if creation rose
luminously out of the night, all new and fresh and astonishing.
Eugene Ionesco, Present Past / Past Present
These photographs capture the innocence and wonder, as well as the
hardships of childhood. The images have been chosen for their relevance
and beauty, and the mystery that each photographer brings to their work.
Artists included in the exhibit are:
Ralph Eugene Meatyard
Manuel Álvarez Bravo
Ray K. Metzker Frank A. Rinehart
Luis González Palma
Carrie Mae Weems
W. Eugene Smith
We will also have a selection of works by Brassaï, Harry Callahan, Paul Caponigro,
Walker Evans, Louis Faurer, André Kertész, Clarence John Laughlin, Beaumont Newhall,
Nancy Newhall, Bernard Plossu, Brett Weston, and Minor White.
If there are any specific works that you would like us to
bring to New York, please let us know.
You can visit our website at www.photographydealers.com.
We look forward to sharing these works with you.
