Former New Mexico State Historian, Robert J. Tórrez presents this look at fascinating and little-known stories from the state archives. Hear about two Cochiti women, a mother and daughter, executed for murder in 1779, the tax revolt of 1816 and the “mysterious aerial phantom” sighted over Galisteo basin in 1880. Co-sponsored by the New Mexico Humanities Council & the Department of Cultural Affairs, this program is made possible by the generous support of The Amigos de Cerrillos Hills State Park.
