The American Solar Challenge (ASC) is passing through the Santa Fe Plaza on Saturday, August 7, 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The cross-country race follows the historic Santa Fe Trail through cities in Kansas, Colorado and Santa Fe/Las Vegas, NM. The goal of the American Solar Challenge road race is to complete as many miles as possible within the given time constraints of the event. Colleges participating in the American Solar Challenge include University of Kentucky, KU, University of CA – Berkeley, MIT, Principia College and many more. You’ll see unique and innovative solar cars that are hand built by students.
