The historic El Rey Theater in Albuquerque welcomes South Texas cowboy Charley Crockett, Thursday, November 23, 2021, 7:30 p.m. Charley Crockett spent his formative years living with his uncle in New Orleans, where he first became a street performer who discovered a love for folk music. In New York City he played hip hop and blues on street corners and in subway cars. What’s also important to his identity as an artist, he says, is that he has lived the songs he writes and sings. Opening for Charley is Texas-bred singer/songwriter Joshua Ray Walker. Tickets are $28 in advance, $31 day of show. For more information, visit the website, or call 505-510-2582.
