She is also a two-time Latin Grammy nominee, most recently in 2021 for Rio Abajo as Best Contemporary Tropical album. Her LP debut Diana Burco, was nominated in 2018 as best album vallenato/cumbia, the first ever female nominee for what is considered the most important indigenous music of Colombia.
