Eye On The Mountain Art Gallery hosts Lindsay Payton’s Halloween solo exhibit, Ex Voto Suscepto: From The Vow Made, October 9 – November 6, 2021. This series of folk art displays portable shrines, each meant for one’s personal reflection, worries, well-wishes, or a grounding reminder. Heavily influenced from tin ‘nichos’ traditionally depicting saints or scenes of devotion, each piece features an original illustration in a tin frame, nestled in moss and an array of dried flora. Customized with battery powered LED lights, these mini altars will catch your eye with all the devil in the details. There will be a reception for the artist Saturday, October 9, 5-9 p.m. For more information, visit the website, or call 928-308-0319.
Live, on the Tumbleroot patio, DJ Pygar mixes intergalactic tunes from all over the multiverse, every Friday from 6-9 p.m. Teaser and pleaser, guaranteed surprises and maybe some classics. Definitely a hip shaker. Be there and get your groove on!
