The Fiesta de Santa Fe stages a grand procession from the Palace of the Governors to the Cathedral Basilica, Sunday, September 12, 9:30 a.m. Retracing the footsteps of New Mexico’s ancestors, the procession moves through the streets of Santa Fe with the image of La Conquistadora – from the oldest capital building in the United States to the historic Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi – for a pontifical mass. The procession is part of the promise made in the City of Santa Fe Proclamation of September 16, 1712, establishing Fiesta de Santa Fe. For more information, visit the website.
