The third annual Great New Mexico Chile Taste-off returns to the Socorro Soccer & Rodeo Complex on Saturday, September 18, 2021. This event will have free admission and is sponsored by the New Mexico Chile Association, Bueno Foods, Socorro County and the City of Socorro. Come taste red and green chile from all around New Mexico and even take some home. The chile taste-off will also have live music, dancing, food and drinks, local vendors, performances, red and green fireworks and more. A parade kicks things off at 2 p.m., gates open at 3 p.m., and opening ceremonies are at 3:30 p.m. The Taste-Off runs from 4:30 to 5: 30 p.m., with winners announced at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 7:30 p.m. For more information visit the website, or call 520-576-8011.
