Meyer Gallery presents solo exhibition Avian Realms by wildlife painter Jhenna Quinn Lewis, December 17-29, 2022. Featuring highly realistic birds in quiet, still-life settings, the work of this Oregon-based artist is characterized by its Asian aesthetic, minimalist compositions and meticulous realism that allows for a contemplative yet meditative response from the viewer. Her stylistically simple arrangements emphasize negative space for a soothing mood. “My art is a metaphor for stillness and reflection,” says the artist. “It is part of an inner dialogue with emotions that resound within. I exist alongside the work. There is no separation.” A reception for the artist takes place Friday, December 17, from 5-7 p.m. For more information, visit the website, or call 505-983-1434.
