The Lensic presents a free community screening of the classic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale, a young Kansas farm girl who dreams of a land “somewhere over the rainbow.” Dorothy’s dream comes true when she and her dog, Toto—along with her family’s house—are transported by a tornado to a bright and magical world unlike anything she has seen before.

The theater will initially operate at 33% capacity, following the State of New Mexico’s latest regulations for large entertainment venues. Patrons, staff members, and performers will be required to follow strict safety protocols based on CDC and state guidelines. Face masks will be required for everyone in the building except patrons under 2 and social distancing will be maintained in all areas.

Tickets can be reserved by phone or online (no in-person sales) and will be emailed to patrons, who can print them at home or present them on a mobile device upon arrival at the theater. Following state guidelines, tickets may be purchased for groups of up to six people, who will be seated together with at least six feet between groups.

Ticket reservations are available for Lensic members as of June 2 @ 10 am and open up to the public on June 9 @ 10 am) on the theater website.
