The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series kicks off Friday, July 2, 6 p.m., at Overlook Park in White Rock, NM. Country singer/songwriter Austin Van will do the honors on stage. Growing up in a musical family in Ponderosa, NM, Austin continues to call New Mexico his home. He is currently working on his debut album, produced by Bobby Flores. The concerts in this series range from Country to Cumbia to Disco Funk Rock, and beyond. There are five different free walks per month. In-town walks during the week last about an hour and Saturday walks take about two hours. On May 18, we’ll meet at the Southside Library and walk the Arroyo Chamiso Trail to Swan Park and back.
