Juneteenth is here and Raashan Ahmad invites you to Santa Fe Plaza on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 6-10 p.m., for Love & Happiness Get Down! Join Nosotros, Def-I, Pete Williams and Jasmin Williams for a night of soul, funk, Motown and Latin music to free the soul. Also on hand will be speakers and poets, including Hakim Bellamy, Tintawi Kaigziabiher and Diego Medina. A FREE community concert for all ages!

Juneteenth is the holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States. A portmanteau of June and nineteenth, Juneteenth is also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day and Emancipation Day. Come out and celebrate life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!
