Securities trader Jane Snake is torn between worlds. A rising star at her Wall Street firm, Jane sees how patterns of commercial exploit and cultural eradication begun when Peter Minuit “purchased” Manahatta Island from the Lenape continues as her indigenous Oklahoma family struggle to save their language, their culture, and their over-mortgaged home in the 2008 housing crisis.
