The Santa Fe Summer Shakespeare Festival & The Santa Fe Playhouse welcome Las Cruces-based troupe The Moor You Know Collective performing “Othello: The Remix,” August 12-15, 2021. Originally produced in Chicago by the Q Brothers, this fresh, hip-hop adRAPtation of the Bard’s work has toured widely, captivating audiences around the world and racking up the awards in the process. With only four actors, who rap, dance, and play a multitude of characters, Othello is brought to life and to the 21st century through the art of hip-hop in a way that respects the source material, but isn’t afraid to update the story and remix it.
