The Santa Fe Children’s Museum has reopened, with new hours, admission and exhibit availability, August 18 – December 31, 2021. The Santa Fe Children’s Museum is based on a simple idea: children learn by doing. By providing an informal environment and encouraging active participation the museum builds upon a child’s sense of joy and discovery by cultivating habits of inquiry in the arts, sciences and humanities. As a site for family outings, children and parents are brought together in the spirit of challenging play.

In order to keep everybody safe, the museum has a new purifier, all doors and windows will remain open throughout the day, water fountains are unavailable and all touchables will be cleaned constantly. For more information on precautions taken, visit the website.

The new hours of operation are Wednesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Some of the events now in effect are: Wee Wednesdays – Storytime for Toddlers, 10:30 a.m.; Seeds and Sprouts Backyard program, 10:30-11:30 a.m., Thursdays; Fine Art Fridays, 2-4 p.m.; and Science Saturday, 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $8 for NM adults, $5 for NM children, $10 for out-of-state adults and $7 for out-of-state children. For more information, visit the website, or call 505-989-8359.
