Stage Santa Fe re-opens with an exciting curriculum of both in-person improv classes and zoom theater classes, July 27, 2021. In-person classes are now being offered at 50% off and have been revamped to be available to everyone.

Classes offered are:

The GameTuesdays, July 27 – August 31, 6-8 p.m.

Attendees will use the methodologies developed by the Upright Citizens Brigade school of Improv, to earn how to identify the game and improvise with the structure of the game.

The Truth and ImprovThursdays, July 29 – September 2, 6-8 p.m.

Attendees will learn the importance of listening, being in the moment and reacting honestly, without trying to be funny.

Improvisation and SceneworkSundays, August 1 – September 5, 12-2 p.m.

Attendees will discover that Improv is an ever-evolving art-form, which requires a questioning of the rules that govern it, in an attempt to grow and expand the art itself.

In addition to the three in-person improv classes, Stage Santa Fe will also offer a four-week class Improv for Actors, via Zoom, featuring well-known local actor and improviser Eric Weiss. Stage will also offer additional theater classes this fall, which will include a class in full-length play-writing, as well as a class featuring a psychological/holistic approach to acting. The class will run Saturdays, July 31 – August 21, 1-3 p.m.

The Stage Santa Fe website is now open for registration. The cost for the 6-week improv classes is $75. The cost for Improv for Actors is $125, and space is strictly limited. It is recommended to sign-up for classes as soon as possible, as classes do sell out.
