Family Fun | Valentine's Day craft with mandarin oranges

Get the youngsters excited to celebrate Valentine’s Day and eat healthy snacks with this super sweet arts and crafts project: Wonderful Halos Mandarins Love Bugs. Making Love Bugs is a fun and easy way to bring the family together. Then once you have fully enjoyed your Love Bugs, you can indulge in the irresistible taste of Halos mandarins that will put a smile on anyone’s face. Love Bugs make great gifts for a special neighbor who might be alone on Valentine’s Day, and friends and family. Get creative and, most of all, have fun!

Materials:
Mandarins
Foam Hearts (large and small)
Toothpicks
Googly eyes
Glitter glue
Glue dots

Instructions:

  1. Using the glue dots, adhere a large foam heart underneath the Halos mandarin to create feet.

  2. Insert one toothpick into the bottom point of a small foam heart or use a glue dot to adhere the toothpick to the small heart to create an antenna. Repeat for the second antenna.

  3. Insert the antennae into the top of the mandarin next to each other.

  4. Use the clue dots to attach googly eyes to the front of your Halos Love Bug.

  5. Use glitter glue to make a cute little button nose or a smiley face and there you have it!

  6. Enjoy!
