KBAC's Top Songs of 2022 | Radio Free Santa Fe | SantaFe.com
Record player

Our show hosts on KBAC 98.1 Radio Free Santa Fe play lots of great songs, but even they have their favorites! We asked Honey Harris, Michelle, and Chris D. to compile a list of their top songs played on KBAC in 2022. They all noted that it was harder than one would think to narrow the hundreds, or perhaps thousands, of songs they play to a top ten list. Chris D. went the extra mile and gave his top 10 singles AND his top 10 albums! Michelle couldn’t stick to 10, and listed 10 more as “honorable mentions.” Honey went a different route and listed her top 10 musicians/groups whose music was played on KBAC in 2022.

So, we have plenty of songs and groups for you to explore on our top songs of 2022 list!

With stellar songwriting and bold arrangements, the new record is a love letter to the timeless pop albums Alyssa and Doug grew up with, harkening back to a time when Brian Wilson, Nancy Sinatra, Dusty Springfield, The Ronettes and Diana Ross … Read More

Review: Moonage Daydream
Bowie graphic

Moonage Daydream was not at all what I expected. I expected a documentary. What I got was an explosion of sound and vision, like a montage. This is not to say I was disappointed. As a lifelong fan of David Bowie, I’ve come to expect the unexpected. This played like what I always imagine when, after a near-death experience, people say they “saw their lives flash before their eyes.” But this flash lasted for 2½ hours. The only narration is … Read More
