The holidays are a time for giving. There are always members of our community who need our help to keep hope alive, and nobody understands that better than The Life Link, the Santa Fe-based nonprofit organization that spends the entire year improving the lives of those encumbered by homelessness, mental illness, and addiction. As our community experiences an increase in mental health challenges, our compassionate support for one another is crucial.
This year, The Life Link invites you to share in that spirit of giving at their annual fundraising event, Keep Hope Alive – Voices of the Community Holiday Event, an uplifting evening of stories and songs of hope and inspiration, held at the Scottish Rite Temple, Thursday, December 5, 2024, 5:30 – 8 p.m.
The Life Link believes that people function best in an environment where they are treated with dignity and respect and are given opportunities for self-renewal and growth. Their mission includes helping hungry, homeless, and displaced individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency through emergency assistance, housing, employment services, and other supportive programs.
Keep Hope Alive: An Evening of Cheer
The Keep Hope Alive event begins at 5:30 p.m., with cocktails, Gruet sparkling wine, delicious appetizers, and scrumptious sweets. The program starts at 6:30 p.m., with presentations from Life Link staff, clients, and elected officials, followed by performances from some of the brightest lights of the Santa Fe music scene.
Slated to perform are local favorites JJ and the Hooligans, Nacha Mendez, Robert Lopez, and the Santa Fe Men’s Camerata. These talented artists will bring holiday classics to life, creating an uplifting experience that celebrates togetherness. In addition, there will be moving presentations from community leaders and Life Link members, who will share inspiring stories of strength, optimism, and recovery.
But it all begins with you. Buying a ticket or sponsoring the Keep Hope Alive Gala Fundraiser will support The Life Link’s ability to reduce homelessness in Santa Fe by helping vulnerable community members get the assistance they need to rebuild their lives. Tickets are $50 per person.
