Dishes include the restaurants super popular mesquite-smoked barbeque, pulled-pork sandwiches and New Mexican favorites like chicken enchiladas, just to name a few. The barbeque smoking is done on site and Chef is well known by both locals and visitors for serving up some of the best smoked baby back ribs, chicken, and brisket in Santa Fe. The menu features Chef’s classic and wildly famous seared scallops, blackened mahi, cracker-fried catfish, grilled bourbon salmon filet and all natural steaks. Local comfort food dishes with a regional flare include Carribean, Cajun-Creole, Tex-Mex and New Mexican specialties.
Live music nightly rounds out the experience at Cowgirl. Music offered includes touring bands from around the country, karaoke, DJ’s, singer-songwriters, country singers, blues artists, alternative-country bands and Americana music bands, just to name a few. For consistency and quality music the Cowgirl is the best bet for entertainment in Santa Fe. The bar at the Cowgirl now serves up 20 micro-brews on tap, epic frozen margaritas, a full tequila bar, and the only bona-fide pool hall in the City Different.
