This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guests for a President’s Day-inspired discussion of “leadership and inspiration” in real estate.
Real Estate Brokers Are Leaders: Rey will speak to the concept that the value of leadership in the practice of real estate is in reality becoming the very best version of one’s self. It is recognizing that—no matter how successful one becomes—becoming an even better leader requires a degree of added studying, reading, learning, asking for support and seeking wisdom at all times. Rey will review how real estate brokers embrace these techniques to improve their own leadership credentials, while bringing inspiration to the work that they do with home buyers and sellers, as well as others who play a role in any transaction. Rey will also remind the audience of the important role that the real estate community is playing in the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. As an example of the real estate community’s commitment to providing assistance, the Realogy Charitable Foundation, a 501 © (3) public charity, was established as Hurricane Harvey approached Texas in late August. The foundation is continuing to raise funds, delivering 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to directly help those affected by the storm (go to: events.org/hurricane to contribute). Realogy is the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
Gateway Mortgage Group “Home Buyer Tip”: Scott Robinson, Santa Fe Branch Manager at the Gateway Mortgage Group, will offer his own thoughts on the theme ofSunday’s show, including the ways that he and his colleagues bring leadership and inspiration to the work that they do in mortgage-related matters. Scott will also provide his regular mortgage tip that can benefit home buyers who are purchasing a property in collaboration with a lender. The Gateway Mortgage Group is one of the largest privately held mortgage companies in the country, doing its entire mortgage servicing in-house. This business element is important, since it means that Gateway’s customers work directly with them until the time their loan is paid. Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, LLC, Update: Donna Jones White, Owner and Qualifying Broker of Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, LLC, will reflect on the show theme, underscoring how important it is to her business to lead clients and offer inspiration about the values of making Santa Fe a destination for work, or vacation travel. Donna will also offer a summary of vacation and other home rental options that are available to Santa Fe visitors in 2018. Donna will also remind the audience about her company’s role in maintaining a collection of rental options for vacation guests who choose to come to Santa Fe in this year, or are seeking a furnished 30-day or long-term unfurnished property. Consumers from around the globe turn to Donna’s company to aid them in finding comfortable and high-quality residences for their stays in our community.
2018 Roofing and Home Maintenance Update: John Grisak, President of Fix My Roof, LLC, will lead off the show with some observations on the show theme of bringing leadership and inspiration to the services that his well-regarded company provides to consumers. John will reflect on why now is the time to give special attention to the condition of your home’s roof, as winter weather brings conditions that can impact the integrity of this key property element. John will also speak in detail to the component of roof restoration that is at the heart of the services offered by Fix My Roof, LLC, to its residential and commercial clients in New Mexico. Fix My Roof, LLC, is committed to restoring existing roofs for a fraction of the cost of roof replacement while maximizing a positive impact on the environment by embracing environmentally responsible practices and educating the greater community about environmental stewardship. Headquartered in Santa Fe, the company has completed both residential and commercial jobs in Santa Fe, Los Alamos, El Dorado, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Cochiti, Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Silver City, and many more locations.
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 100 Amberwood Loop with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Jody Spehar. This warm, congenial single-level home offers spacious and light-filled interiors, fantastic mountain views and numerous custom features. The property is located on the golf course inside the secure gates of Estates III in the Santa Fe community of Las Campanas.
In the second hour of the show, Rey will continue the President’s Day-inspired conversation about “leadership and inspiration" in the field of real estate. Rey will be joined by Gregg Antonsen, who has been the Senior Vice President and Qualifying Broker at Sotheby’s International Realty Santa Fe(SIR) since 2011. Gregg brings more than 30 years of real estate experience to the show’s conversation, including his current role as manager of the three offices, associate brokers and staff that comprise SIR’s presence in Santa Fe. Rey and Gregg will discuss how leadership contributes greatly to the success of a real estate broker’s practice with home buying and selling clients. They will also review some of the “inspiring” elements of cutting-edge digital technology and other unique tools that SIR brokers employ, as they implement real estate marketing on behalf of their clients.
