This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-hosts, Al Antonez, General Manager and COO, as well as Isabel Chavarria, Director of Membership Development, at The Club at Las Campanas. Joining their other guests, Rey, Al and Isabel will have a unique discussion about the various reasons why people—from all over the world (perhaps beyond!)—are attracted to Santa Fe as a place to visit, as well as a destination for home ownership.
It was reported that the most spectacular mass appearance of UFOs in U.S. history took place over the skies of Farmington, New Mexico, in March of 1950. Anywhere from around 200 to 400 disc-shaped, metallic, silver-colored objects were seen in the sky, performing all kinds of maneuvers, making all kinds of formations and giving an incredible flight show in the sky.
The front-page headline of the Farmington Daily Times of March 18 documented the amazing sightings: HUGE SAUCER ARMADA JOLTS FARMINGTON. Since this story occurred exactly 68 years ago on the day of our show, our theme for the first hour of the program will reflect our observation on this historic development:
"The aliens were obviously making a side trip to Farmington, on their way to enjoying all that Santa Fe has to offer!"
Real Estate Brokers Work With Various Home Buyers: Addressing the theme of the show, Rey will observe how home buyers—wherever they may be coming from—are attracted to the range of house and condo designs that are offered in Santa Fe. Whether it is unique “Santa Fe-style” properties; contemporary design; historic, or newly built, the city provides an assortment of homes that not only contribute to the attractiveness of northern New Mexico but are also considered by many to be one of a kind in architectural choices. Rey will also remind the audience of the important role that the real estate community is playing in the aftermath of last year’s Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. As an example of the real estate community’s commitment to providing assistance, the Realogy Charitable Foundation, a 501 © (3) public charity, was established as Hurricane Harvey approached Texas in late August 2017. The foundation is continuing to raise funds, delivering 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to directly help those affected by the storm (go to: events.org/hurricane to contribute). Realogy is the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
The Club at Las Campanas in March 2018: Al Antonez, General Manager and COO ofThe Club at Las Campanas, and his associate Isabel Chavarria, Director of Membership Development, will join Rey in speaking to the show’s theme: why The Club attracts its members from all over the world. Though Al has served The Club in his management role since June 2016, Isabel, a native of New Mexico and 2017 intern at The Club, just began her membership development role in early 2018. Among the major events The Club hosted last year—for the first time in its history—was the 2017 U.S. Women’s State Team Golf Championship that was staged last September. The success of the hosting of this major national golf championship could lead to similar golf championship events being staged at The Club in the future.
