This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host, Scott Robinson, Branch Manager of the Santa Fe office of the Gateway Mortgage Group, and their guests for a discussion of upcoming fall real estate issues that impact home buyers, sellers and owners.
Real Estate Broker Issues: Rey will offer some thoughts on the focus of real estate brokers as we approach the start of the fall season. This is historically a period in the market when real estate buyers who visited Santa Fe during the summer months return to the city to pursue the purchase of a new home. Rey will also remind the audience of the important role that the real estate community is playing in the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. As an example of the real estate community’s commitment to providing assistance, the Realogy Charitable Foundation, a 501 © (3) public charity, was established as Hurricane Harvey approached Texas in late August. The foundation is continuing to raise funds, delivering 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to directly help those affected by the storm (go to: events.org/hurricane to contribute). Realogy is the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
Gateway Mortgage Group “Home Buyer Tip”: Scott Robinson (NMLS#202265), Santa Fe Branch Manager at the Gateway Mortgage Group, will offer his own thoughts on the theme of the Sunday show, including the near two-year anniversary of the Federal government changing rules that apply to home buyers who enlist the services of a lender. Scott will also provide his regular mortgage tip that can benefit home buyers who are purchasing a property in collaboration with a lender. The Gateway Mortgage Group is one of the largest privately held mortgage companies in the country, doing its entire mortgage servicing in-house. This business element is important, since it means that Gateway’s customers work directly with them until the time their loan is paid.
Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, LLC, Update: Donna Jones White, Owner and Qualifying Broker of Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, LLC, will offer suggestions that relate to the theme of the show, including rental options for vacation, furnished 30-day and long-term unfurnished properties that her firm offers to visitors who travel to our city in the fall and winter seasons. Visitors to Santa Fe turn to Donna’s company to aid them in finding comfortable and high-quality residences for their stays in our community.
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 1563 Bishops Lodge Road with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Darlene Streit. This beautifully renovated and elegantly appointed, two-bedroom home offers numerous features and is a short drive from the Tesuque Village Market, as well as the restaurants, galleries and shops of the Santa Fe Plaza.
In the second hour of the show, join the Reside Home team of Jeff Fenton and Chris Martinez who will host their monthly interior design program. This month’s show is a re-broadcast of the popular February 2017 edition of the show that focused on color, pattern and texture. Reside Home is a design-based, boutique home furnishings showroom in Santa Fe, offering a unique mix of national brands, paired with one-of-a-kind pieces, all displayed to inspire. The firm is also proud to offer a private label upholstery collection, Reside Loft. From furniture to rugs, lighting, pillows, art, accessories, and bedding, Reside Home has what it takes to make your home beautiful.
