All Things Real Estate: Second Hour - December 31, 2017

All Things Real Estate - December 29, 2017

This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host, Tom Simon, Professional Community Association Manager and owner of Westgate Properties, LLC, and their special guest as they discuss real estate issues in 2017 and what may be on the agenda in the New Year.

Real Estate Brokers Successes in 2017 and Hopes in the New Year: Rey will offer observations on how he and other real estate brokers valued the opportunity to work with home buyers, sellers and owners in their various real estate activities in 2017, and what hopes that they have for the New Year. Rey will also remind the audience of the important role that the real estate community is playing in the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. As an example of the real estate community’s commitment to providing assistance, the Realogy Charitable Foundation, a 501 © (3) public charity, was established as Hurricane Harvey approached Texas in late August. The foundation is continuing to raise funds, delivering 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to directly help those affected by the storm (go to: to contribute). Realogy is the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
Community Association Management Update: Tom will offer his thoughts on the theme of the show, as well as update the audience on current issues that residents within community association neighborhoods are facing as we start the New Year. Tom will also review the elements of the second hour of the show when he and his colleague Bonnie Davis and their guests will address timely community association matters important to home owners, buyers and sellers. Based in Santa Fe, Westgate Properties specializes in the management of multi-tenant commercial properties and homeowners associations. Their goal is to promote community through highly responsive management with the aim that quality of life, quality of work and the value of one’s real estate investment is improved.
Gateway Mortgage Group Update: Scott Robinson, Branch Manager of the Gateway Mortgage Group, will offer his thoughts on topics that home buyers using a lender successfully tackled in 2017, as well as what will be on the agenda in the New Year. Scott will also provide his regular mortgage tip that can benefit home buyers who are purchasing a property in collaboration with a lender. The Gateway Mortgage Group is one of the largest privately held mortgage companies in the country, doing its entire mortgage servicing in-house. This business element is important, since it means that Gateway’s customers work directly with them until the time their loan is paid.
Open House of the Week: Rey will be discussing the listings and brokers of Sotheby’s International Realty.

In the second hour of the show, Bonnie Davis, Professional Community Association Manager of Westgate Properties, LLC, will co-host the show with her colleague Tom Simon. Bonnie and Tom will lead a discussion with their guests on accomplishments that all of them have realized in 2017, as well as what will be on the agenda for the New Year. In addition, Tom and Bonnie will discuss the important topic of community association manager credentials.

HOA Legal Review: Melissa Brown, attorney with the Carpenter, Hazelwood, Delgado, Bolen law firm, will  provide her firm’s monthly legal perspective on a variety of other issues facing homeowner (HOA) and condo (COA) association communities.
Insurance Advice: Vincent Marciano of the ADV Insurance Agency—specializing in community association insurance needs—joins Tom and Bonnie to discuss the theme of the Sunday show, as well as offer his monthly insurance counsel on other matters of interest to home owners.
Landscape Tip: Sean Gabriel, Principal with locally-owned and operated Proscape Landscape Management, will offer his landscape tip of the month, which speaks to the theme of the second hour of the program.
