October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Pink “Me” – a nonprofit organization dedicated to education, inspiration, and advocacy – invites you to Lace Up and Race at the inaugural 5K Walk/Run! With both an in-person and a virtual race, anybody can and should get involved, because even though death rates have declined since 1989, breast cancer is still the most commonly diagnosed cancer type. Pink “Me” Lace Up and Race 1st Annual 5K Walk/Run kicks off at Via Linda Park in Santa Fe, Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Registration To Race
To join the Pink “Me” Lace Up and Race challenge, all you have to do is register by October 11, 2025, and show up on the day of the race to complete your walk/run at your own pace. For those who can’t make it to the event, there is also a virtual component, so you can support the cause from anywhere you like. Registration for both includes a numbered race bib, an official race t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Those taking part in the virtual race should receive their swag in the mail prior to the race.
In addition to the bib, t-shirt and medal, registration for the in-person component also includes access to mobile mammogram screenings, presented by Assured Imaging, as well as access to pre- and post-race festivities. The Pink “Me” Lace Up and Race 5K Walk/Run will be held rain or shine, so come prepared. All proceeds from this event go to Pink “Me” where they will help in the mission to compassionately support women during and after their breast cancer journey. Additional donations are always appreciated.
Sponsorship opportunities are available.
