All Things Real Estate: First Hour - April 19, 2020All Things Real Estate
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host Miles D. Conway, the new Executive Officer of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA), for a discussion of home construction issues important to the agenda of the members of the SFAHBA, as we address the current coronavirus situation. Miles will also offer a review of what he hopes to accomplish for the remainder of 2020, as he begins his new role as the day-to-day executive of the SFAHBA. Raised in Breckenridge, Colorado, Miles moved to the Santa Fe area in 1995. He lives in Rio en Medio, with his wife of 22 years, Mikahla Beutler, and son Tilman. Prior to serving as executive officer for the SFAHBA, Miles had a long career with New Mexico labor unions, serving as a communications professional and political coordinator for both the public sector, and the professional trades union locals. Most recently, he was a fundraising and communications coordinator at New Energy Economy, working to bring the Santa Fe community greater accessibility to local renewable energy resources. For the 10th year in a row, the SFAHBA is continuing in 2020 as a corporate supporter of, and content provider for the “All Things Real Estate” radio show. As a reminder, tune in to the SFAHBA’s weekly radio show “Green Building”—airing just before the “All Things Real Estate” program—at 11 am (Mountain Time) each Sunday on KTRC’s 1260AM and 103.7FM (also heard at the same time via the “Listen Now” link at ATREradio.com).
Lucky Dog Hi-Fi & Technology Solutions Report:
Truewill Mashburn, co-owner of Lucky Dog Hi-Fi & Technology Solutions, will reflect on how his business is operating for its clients in the current coronavirus environment. Truewill will also offer information on how he and his business partner, Daniel Muller, specialize in residential and commercial custom technology solutions offered to their clients. Over their four decades of professional experience, the Lucky Dog team has, at one point or another, worked for or owned record stores, night clubs, production companies, recording studios, and of course, big box retailers. The different backgrounds of the Lucky Dog team contribute to a unique end result: their ability to customize their clients’ home for audio, A/V, home automation, networking, and home lighting based on their particular specifications and circumstances. They understand how architecture, design, engineering, acoustics, and technology can all work together to craft a certain outcome. Truewill and Daniel have joined “All Things Real Estate” in 2020 as corporate supporters and show commentators. Throughout the year, they will offer information on how their firm brings custom technology solutions to homes and businesses.
Rey’s “Real Estate Recommendation":
Rey’s weekly real estate recommendation will offer information on the ongoing efforts of Sotheby’s International Realty to address the needs of home buyers and sellers, as the coronavirus situation continues. Rey will also share some thoughts on an ongoing element of teamwork, that he and all of his broker colleagues subscribe to. Specifically, that the marketing and administrative staff at the Santa Fe office of Sotheby’s International Realty are offering an even greater level of professional assistance to the company’s brokers and clients, during this exceptionally challenging period of time.
Property of the Week:
Rey will review the attributes of 480 San Antonio with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Abigail Davidson. This four-bedroom, Historic Eastside home and guest house (deeded separately) in Santa Fe, is set off of San Antonio, which is a favorite sleepy street to those in the know. The home embodies Santa Fe living with sophistication and style. It is entirely circled by delightful gardens with towering quaking Aspen trees, ambling roses, and exquisite landscaping. The home features glorious courtyards, a water feature, a spa, a two-car garage, privacy, and parking. A serene property that enjoys unparalleled appointments, and is located in the San Antonio Compound Condominiums.
