In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest, Katherine Crociata, the new Executive Officer of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association, as they discuss a variety of elements that relate to the theme of “Commitment to the Community.”
Real Estate Broker Thoughts: Rey will speak to some of the numerous ways that real estate professionals devote time and energy, as they pursue a strong commitment to the community. Rey will also speak to current real estate issues that are important to home buyers, sellers and owners as we approach spring.
Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association News: Rey will join in a conversation with Katherine Crociata, the new Executive Officer of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA), regarding not only the theme of the Sunday show, but also issues important to Katherine as she begins her new role with the association. Katherine comes to the SFAHBA with some significant experience and expertise. Among several other positions, she worked for eight years as the Director of Governmental Affairs of the Central New Mexico Homebuilders Association; two years as the director of the New Mexico Construction Industries Division; and 5-½ years as the Legislative Affairs Director for Century Link. In addition, and among other awards, Katherine was recognized as a Woman of Influence in 2013 by New Mexico Business Weekly. As a reminder, tune in to the SFAHBA’s weekly radio show “Green Building” airing just before the “All Things Real Estate” program, beginning at 11 am (Mountain Time) each Sunday on KTRC’s 1260AM and 103.7FM (also heard at the same time via the “Listen Now” link at ATREradio.com). For the ninth year in a row, the SFAHBA is continuing its role as a corporate supporter of and content provider for the “All Things Real Estate” radio show. This includes having the radio show air remote broadcasts during the just completed and highly successful SFAHBA annual “Home Show” on March 10, as well as during two Sundays in August at the nationally-known “Haciendas, A Parade of Homes” tour.
Rey’s “Real Estate Recommendation”: Rey’s weekly real estate recommendation will offer some suggestions on how to make the home buying and selling process a bit easier, more efficient and less time consuming for consumers.
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 849 E. Palace Avenue with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Katherine Blagden. This mostly adobe and lovely two-bedroom home has been completely updated and is infused with classic southwestern details and charm. Located in the Historic Eastside of Santa Fe—within walking distance to both Canyon Road and the Plaza—this perfect pied-à-terre offers a formal dining room, three fireplaces, chef's kitchen, office, and an ample living room that opens to the west portal. Plaster walls, nichos, wood and flagstone floors, high ceilings with vigas, latillas and split cedar, a quaint stained-glass window, and wonderful arched doorways make this East Palace Avenue home especially exciting.
