In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guest co-host Miles D. Conway, the new Executive Officer of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA), for a discussion of home construction issues important to the agenda of the members of the SFAHBA. Miles will discuss the outcome of an online “LEGO Contest For Kids” event, offered to the public this month by the SFAHBA in cooperation with Del Norte Credit Union. The LEGO competition was scheduled to be an element of March’s “HOME Show”, sponsored by the SFAHBA, but cancelled as a result of the coronavirus situation. Miles will discuss the large response from kids within the community, as they offered their design concepts in the online event, including entries submitted for the Grand LEGO Hacienda award, which challenged kids to build a dream home. Miles will also offer a review of what he hopes to accomplish for the remainder of 2020, in his new role as the day-to-day executive of the SFAHBA. Raised in Breckenridge, Colorado, Miles moved to the Santa Fe area in 1995. He lives in Rio en Medio, with his wife of 22 years, Mikahla Beutler, and son Tilman. Prior to serving as executive officer for the SFAHBA, Miles had a long career with New Mexico labor unions, serving as a communications professional and political coordinator for both the public sector, and the professional trades union locals. Most recently, he was a fundraising and communications coordinator at New Energy Economy, working to bring the Santa Fe community greater accessibility to local renewable energy resources. For the 10th year in a row, the SFAHBA is continuing in 2020 as a corporate supporter of, and content provider for the “All Things Real Estate” radio show. As a reminder, tune in to the SFAHBA’s weekly radio show “Green Building”—airing just before the “All Things Real Estate” program—at 11 am (Mountain Time) each Sunday on KTRC’s 1260AM and 103.7FM (also heard at the same time via the “Listen Now” link at

Rey’s “Real Estate Recommendation":

Rey’s weekly real estate recommendation will offer information on the ongoing efforts of Sotheby’s International Realty to address the needs of home buyers and sellers, as the coronavirus situation continues. Rey will also share some thoughts on an ongoing element of teamwork, that he and all of his broker colleagues subscribe to. Specifically, that the marketing and administrative staff at the Santa Fe office of Sotheby’s International Realty are offering an even greater level of professional assistance to the company’s brokers and clients, during this exceptionally challenging period of time.

Broker Reflections and Property of the Week:

Rey will review the attributes of 1612 ½ Young Street with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague TJ Rieland. Rey will also ask TJ to reflect on how the coronavirus has impacted his personal life, and real estate work. Regarding TJ’s property listing---this centrally located home in Santa Fe, is a two-bedroom/two-bath gated sanctuary, offering privacy, and an open floor plan. The home’s spacious downstairs, with a gas kiva fireplace, gives enough room for relaxing or entertaining guests while listening to your favorite music with a built-in surround sound system. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and a separate laundry room complement the downstairs bedroom with a 3/4 bath. A bonus room with an outside entrance can be used as a separate office. The fabulous custom stairwell and railing usher you to an 800 square foot upstairs master suite---with a wood-burning kiva fireplace, large walk-in closet, full bath--- while also leading to the beautiful rooftop deck for lounging and enjoying New Mexico sunsets. The home’s garden has mature trees, with a tranquil fountain, and provides great entertaining spaces.
