All Things Real Estate - October 22, 2017

This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby's International Realty's Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today's real estate market.
In the first hour of the show, join Rey and his guests as they discuss all the ways that respected businesses and organizations bring valuable services to home owners, buyers and sellers in our region, as well as around the country.

Real Estate Community Role: Rey will offer some thoughts on how real estate professionals and businesses bring a host of critical services to the process of either buying or selling a home. Rey will also speak to the numerous resources that home owners can turn to meet the needs of maintaining the place that they call “home.” Rey will also address the important role that the real estate community plays in the aftermath of events that impact the lives of consumers around the country. As an example of the real estate community’s commitment to providing assistance, the Realogy Charitable Foundation, a 501 © (3) public charity, was established following the devastation that hurricanes left in our nation this summer and fall. The foundation is continuing to raise funds, delivering 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross to directly help those affected by the storm (go to: to contribute). Realogy is the parent company of Sotheby’s International Realty, Inc.
Gallery’s Role In Community: Stephen Etre, Owner of Stephen’s, A Consignment Gallery, will share his thoughts on how his business brings a range of services to meet the needs of consumers. Stephen will specifically speak about his annual “Fall Sale” event that is being staged at the gallery this weekend, attracting home owners, buyers and sellers from all over the nation. Stephen's, A Consignment Gallery is 12,000 square feet in size, with nearly 6,000 diverse items in inventory at any time. After more than 30 years of operating, the gallery is the oldest and largest furniture, art, and antique consignment gallery in Santa Fe. Stephen’s inventory offers something for every taste and style preference from its extraordinary selection of quality, previously owned furniture, accessories, home décor, art, antiques and fine jewelry.  Stephen’s collection is continuously changing offering countless choices to customers. Stephen's also provides comprehensive services that can be tailored according to what customers need, such as personal property appraisals, valuation of fine antiques, liquidation services, on-site estate sales, auctions, and purchasing.
CHRISTUS St. Vincent Hospital Update: Toni Carlisle, Development Associate with the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, will join Rey for a discussion about the various ways that the CHRISTUS organization brings a range of professional services to aid home owners, buyers and sellers in our community. In addition, Toni will update the audience on a new and exciting program being organized by the foundation, allowing the corporate community of our region to support the efforts of the CHRISTUS organization. Toni will also speak to how the foundation’s well-regarded “Glamour and Gauze” gala dinner staged in September financially supported the completion of the Frost Pavilion at the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center. This new 36-room, state-of-the-art hospital wing at the center—as well as the renovation of all existing shared patient rooms, becoming an all-private room hospital facility—will be previewed at a public open house at the medical center on November 3 (12 - 3 pm). Information on this event, as well as the other activities of the foundation, can be found at their website:
Open House of the Week: Rey will review the attributes of 829 Don Cubero with his Sotheby’s International Realty broker colleague Britt Gladu. This extremely rare and exceptional Historic South Capitol two-bedroom residence with a charming detached one-bedroom guest casita, offers numerous amenities and is sited within walking distance to the Santa Fe Plaza and other sought-after features of the city.

In the second hour of the show, Rey will continue the theme of highlighting the role that major institutions in our community play in the lives of home owners, buyers and sellers. Joining Rey as his guest co-host is Al Antonez, General Manager and COO of The Club at Las Campanas. Al will discuss how The Club offers an extraordinary setting to enjoy an ideal life in Santa Fe. As one of the nation’s most regarded country club destinations, The Club was not only recognized as a Platinum Club of America for 2014-2016, it is also known for its deep commitment to the people, environment, as well as programs that help to make Santa Fe a better community. Al will offer an overview of the amenities at The Club, including two championship Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses; a well-equipped fitness center; tennis and spa facility with seven synthetic clay courts; one of the finest equestrian facilities in the Southwest; as well as the casual and fine dining provided at The Club’s Hacienda Clubhouse. In addition, Rey and Al will discuss how the Club is known in the community as a place for multifaceted cultural, educational, artistic and musical programs. Al will highlight how The Club’s members formed the Las Campanas Community Fund in 2003 to do even more to address the vital needs in the area. This endowment fund, which is administered in partnership with the Santa Fe Community Foundation, has grown significantly since inception and provides annual grants to a range of non-profit organizations in the Santa Fe area. For the seventh year in a row, “All Things Real Estate” is partnering with The Club to offer information on the multitude of activities it is hosting in 2017. Among the major events The Club hosted this year—for the first time in its history—was the 2017 U.S. Women’s State Team Golf Championship, staged in September. Al will review the significance of The Club hosting this major national golf championship.
